Are You Ready to Start a Business?

The Women’s Business Center offers a variety of programs and services for women who have an idea, want to test the feasibility of it and potentially develop it into a business. Many additional workshops and seminars are open to the general public, including both male and female entrepreneurs.

The first step in “starting out” is to begin working your concept into a process that will eventually lead you through informed decision-making.  The Client Services Manager at the Women's Business Center is available to meet one-on-one with individuals interested in evaluating the feasibility of their concept.  These consultations are designed to help assess where the entrepreneur is at in the business planning process and develop an action plan for moving from concept-phase to start-up phase.  Contact Judy Bumpus at (913) 492-5922 to schedule your appointment today.

The next step for you might be the FastTrac NewVenture class which is the center’s premier course to test feasibility. Market analysis, financial projections and adequate capital are all things that you will discover in this course.

Access to capital is paramount to the success of a start-up as well as to growth companies. Through banking partnerships within our community, though our micro-lending partners and angel investor networks, we will assist you in determining the right course of action to support your business.
